Replaying the same song all day long ....

Salam, As you know , now I work from home, so I had to do some rearrangements regarding my PC time. I also moved the PC to our bedroom, now I have more privacy , so I can be as messy as I manly can. All day long I have been listening to this SONG. And what makes it worse, I never heard it before, but I'm in love with it, to make things worse my wife is about to choke me to death , I don't think she is very found of seeing me in her face 24/7 LOL. I know I'm laughing but it's not funny, I think I'm gonna start going to auctions Tue-Wed-Thur. That should give her a break eh? Great now I got my kids hooked on this song along with me. Wanna hear something funny my Daughter Laila goes to K4 at the Islamic Center, Ofcourse after watching Grandizer with me (all 76 episodes) she like her dad memorized the opening song by heart. At school she was singing the song to her teacher, and her teacher couldn't believe her ears because I guess she is also a fan of Grandizer, she sent us a request to lend her the DVD's. LOL Not sure if its for her or for the kids, gonna lend them to her either ways. I better turn it off and call it a night before I end up sleeping outside the house, we have a freeze warning tonight. Peace

ADC Mourns Loss of Mustafa Akkad, Rima Akkad Monla

ADC Press Release: ADC Mourns Loss of Mustafa Akkad, Rima Akkad Monla Washington, DC, November 11, 2005--The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is deeply saddened by the death of Arab-American producer and director Mustafa Akkad. Akkad passed away today after sustaining serious injuries from one of the three terrorist blasts that hit Amman, Jordan hotels this past Wednesday. ADC reiterates its condemnation of the bombings and calls for a thorough investigation and for those responsible to be brought to justice. Akkad, 75, was in the lobby of the Hyatt hotel with Rima Akkad Monla, his 33-year-old daughter who had just arrived from Beirut that same night, when the blast hit the hotel. Rima was instantly killed. The Akkad family, long-time ADC members and supporters, lived in Los Angeles. However, relatives said Akkad will be buried on Sunday in the Syrian city of Aleppo where he was born, while his daughter will be buried in Lebanon, where she resided with her husband. Akkad was executive producer of the famed Hollywood horror films "Halloween," as well as producer and director of both "The Message" and "Lion of the Desert." Akkad told the Associated Press in 1977 that he made the movie "The Message," to "bring the story of Islam to the West." ADC President Mary Rose Oakar said "ADC finds it sad and disturbing that Mustafa, a man who brought the story of Islam to life in his film 'The Message,' was killed by those who call themselves Muslims. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and loved ones affected by this latest horrific tragedy." ### For more information, contact ADC Communications Director Laila Al-Qatami at 202-244-2990. _______________________________________________________________________ Celebrate ADC's 25 Years of Dedicated Service to Civil and Human Rights by: CONTRIBUTING TO AND/OR JOINING ADC https://www.adc.org/membership/ American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) 1732 Wisconsin Ave., NW Washington, DC 20007 Tel: 202-244-2990 Fax: 202-244-3196 E-mail: media@adc.org www.adc.org

A random thought !

Salam, I know the emotions are high and at times like this it is easy to jump to conclusions. I just have any thing to point out. There were report that Israelis were evacuated from the hotel before the explosion. I would like to warn my fellow Brothers & Sisters not to fall into that trap. It doesn't matter whois behind is terror act, we need to stop blaming Israel for everything that went wrong in our lives. Since 1948 we blamed everything on Israel, if we didn't finish our education it was Israel's fault, and if we didn't build a house it was Israel's fault. Israel became our placebo for every little thing that went wrong in our lives. It doesn't matter if they were "Muslims" , "Christians" , "Jewish" , "Arabs" , or whatever nationality they are. They are terrorists and should be tracked down and punished. Violence against civilians is a crime , a suicide bomber or an F16 shooting civilians are both crimes against humanity. May God rest their souls in peace. Peace

A Sad Day :-(

Today has been one long sad day... One of my friends had High blood pressure without him knowing it. He came home 2 days ago after working out, the minute he got in his house his wife asked if he is OK cause he doesn't look good, he answered I just need a glass of water, but he never made it to the refrigerator, he collapsed and had a stroke, then at the hospital they had to operate on his brains to take the blood out from the burst veins in his head. The minute they were done he had another stroke.. Then he has been in a coma, he wont wake up and they said if he stays like this till Sunday they gonna take him off the machine. That's how my day ended. Then When I got home I heard about the explosions in Amman :-( What a dark day it has been :-( I feel sad and angry! Sad for all the violence that is going on in the world. Sad for the dead and their families. Sad that so many innocent lives are cut short because of a cowardly deed. I'm angry this is done in our country. I'm angry some group is hijacking my religion and claiming this is a teaching of Islam. I'm angry at anyone who encourage such acts.

Peace

"DOOM"

My wife had a Hen gathering the other day, so I was forbiden to come home. So I went to the movies. I was torn between JARHEAD and DOOM! I knew Jarhead is a better movie, but I wasn't in a seriouse moood, so I went to see DOOM. The movie is OK , if you are a gamer it's a good movie, the funniest line in the move was played by THE ROCK. Midway through the movie he get caught by Zombies and he goes:
" I'm not suppose to die!!"
it cracked me up. Peace

Why I quit my job :-)

So, I was the Gm for a cellphone company for over 3 years. Then I decided to open my own cellphone shop, but did it in a near city instead of where I live about 60 miles away. Long story short, I had to close the shop and get me a real job. I got hired as an office manager and internet wholesale buyer for a couple of guys who ship cars to Saudi. I have wanted to learn this trade for so long, because I know I can get good at it. The everyday paperwork was OK nothing hard and I was on top of things. Then the online betting and dealing started, somehow I was real good at it. I started networking with major Dealers and wheelers. Then I started buying cars that my employers are not ready to buy because they had enough, then While networking I met an online buyers and exporters who are in the same boat I'm in. So I offered one of them a car that my employers refused to buy, but then was told by a friend it was unethical. So I asked about it and I was told it is unethical to do what I did. Well, being the ethical man I am I confronted my employers and told them I want to their permission to do so and they declined, so I told them I want to get out on my own and become independent, with no hard feelings. I'm working on my wholesale dealership license and then I will be able to work with anyone I want the HALAL way. It's going to be OK insahllah. I already have a list of cars and another list of buyers I just need to match both together. The good news is that I'm now working from home, and this would be embedded in my online time. So, That's why I'm sticking it to the man :-) P.S: If anyone knows a hook up in Saudi or Kuwait who are looking for cars import from the USA. Hook a Bratha up :-) Peace

Flock.com

Flock is a free, open source web browser.

What's the idea behind Flock?

We believe that it should be easy for everyone to contribute to and participate on the web. To that end, we've started with integrating tools that make it easier to blog, publish your photos and share and discover things that are interesting to you.

Who should use it?

Flock is currently available only as a developer preview. This means that you can try it out but that it's not quite ready to become your everyday browser.

Expect a more stable, public beta by the end of the year. If you want to see what we're working on for that release, take a look at our public beta roadmap.

Ok, so where can I download Flock?

You can grab the latest release from our developer page or, if you're even more brave, help test hourly builds.

If something goes wrong, you can file a bug report or just drop an email to .

How do I stay up to date with Flock development?

We've set up a page just for this purpose. Check out Flock Radio, featuring fresh-squeezed updates from all the blogs of the Flock crew.
